The Association of Breastfeeding Mothers (ABM) is a voluntary organisation founded in 1979 by mothers already experienced in breastfeeding counselling.
 
They became a charity in 1980 (registered no 280537). 
 
As well as supporting mums and families and offering training, they speak for breastfeeding families at a national advocacy level. ABM volunteers answer calls on the National Breastfeeding Helpline 9.30am-9.30pm on 0300 100 0212.
